Old stuff are great. I didn't know keyboards back then were real heavy. The keys even had that nice clicking sound to it. Anyway, the keyboard I found was really dirty and I thought it even had a nice grunge effect. So, I decided to take some pictures and make some brushes out of it.
Here's a texture pack of 5 high resolution images of cracked and chipped paint. These are great for adding grungy or weathered effects. Hope you like them. Enjoy!
Another brush set here! This is a pretty fun set. It has 6 brushes you can use for crosshatching, shading and other special effects.
The last three brushes in this pack were taken from a piece of fabric. Aside from using it for cloth texture, you can use them for crosshatching as well.

Aaand here's a new brush set! Yes its another grunge-ish pack but the effect is really awesome so I thought this is worth sharing.
I'm back with a new brush set! These brushes give a really great grunge effect mixed with urban decay or perhaps a post-apocalyptic feel to it.
Most of these brushes were taken from rusty metal pieces and old computer parts so you can use it also for tech effects. The original brushes are enough for you to achieve a grunge effect but I also included customized versions which amps up the dirt, grunge and post-apocalyptic style. I guess these are best used for backgrounds or accents.

For a couple of times, I've been asked to print huge pictures using a regular home printer so that I would first have to split the photo into parts. At first I thought it was going to be simple but then I realized that I need to consider an overlap in each of the sections so that they can be glued together.
So in this tutorial, I'll share the steps I took in using Photoshop to split an image into multiple pages (layers) such that each of the sections will have an overlap for you to easily put your poster together.
This has long been overdue and so, here it is: seven high resolution book cover textures. These were taken from really old books so that they have this old - maybe vintage? - effect. Some of the covers have scratches and have interesting patterns. Aside as book covers, you can also use them as paper or cardboard or even as fabric. Anyway, hope you find this useful and as always, enjoy!
Today's freebie is a collection of book stock photos. If you need old books for editing photos or just for reference, hopefully you can find something useful in this pack. I arranged the books in stacks (neat and toppled) and shot them at different angles. The books' covers are in a separate post. They make really good textures!

I wasn't sure whether the hollow blocks/bricks should be under concrete but I included them anyway. So there you have it, enjoy this free high resolution pack!
Hello guys! This free brush set contains 30 number brushes. For each of the numbers (0-9), I made three different kinds so that you can get some variation. The numbers have this old typewriter feel to it. This is something you can also use for adding grungy, old and worn effects. As usual, I hope you like this brush pack and enjoy!
Here is a another free brush set! This pack consists of peeling paint and crack brushes.
Making this set took me longer than I expected. I found the peeling paint on a rusty railing. As for the cracks, they were taken from a rubbery surface with a fabric-like texture making it really tough to extract. I wanted to keep the fine (hairline?) cracks as well so that I had to resort to manually erasing the cracks' background whew! These crack brushes are a bit experimental so I'd love to hear what you think of it.
Here is a quick tutorial on how to create your own sunburst background texture in Photoshop with an added a grunge style to it. We will be using smart filters and a very useful technique called step and repeat.
Hello! Here is another set of brushes. Inside are all sorts of screw heads. Most are old, dented and rusty ones - great for grunge effects. I've also added a cleaner version for some of the brushes to give them a less worn look. Aside from screws I also threw in some extra nuts and washers.. Anyway as always, hope you find these useful. Doodles! Here are 38 brushes you can use for adding doodles, drawings, designs or whatever you call them on your artworks. It was fun doodling around and it looked pretty good as brushes so I may as well share them with you guys. Hope you like it!
Here's a sticky tape brush set. I tried to put lots of variation on the brushes. There are some normal-looking ones and some torn and folded pieces. Try mixing and slapping them together to get some really nice tape.. tapey.. tapeness (sorry, I can't think of a word). You can also try using them as an eraser for adding texture or torn-paper effects. And here's a nice little tip: if you set the brush color to a very dark blue one, you get a torn denim-like fabric!
As mentioned earlier, here is a customized set of the Splatter & Paint Dab brush pack. I made some changes to the brush settings so that it would be great for adding texture and creating backgrounds.
Hello! Another free brush set here. To be honest, I'm not quite sure what to call this set. It's a mix of splatters and paint dabs so I thought I may as well call it both. I'll be putting up a separate post of these same brushes with some custom settings in a bit. I've put up another version here - good for adding texture and making your own background.
