Aaand here's a new brush set! Yes its another grunge-ish pack but the effect is really awesome so I thought this is worth sharing.
I'm back with a new brush set! These brushes give a really great grunge effect mixed with urban decay or perhaps a post-apocalyptic feel to it.
Most of these brushes were taken from rusty metal pieces and old computer parts so you can use it also for tech effects. The original brushes are enough for you to achieve a grunge effect but I also included customized versions which amps up the dirt, grunge and post-apocalyptic style. I guess these are best used for backgrounds or accents.
It's been a while since I last posted so I hope you guys enjoy this free brush pack.
As mentioned earlier, here is a customized set of the Splatter & Paint Dab brush pack. I made some changes to the brush settings so that it would be great for adding texture and creating backgrounds.
Hello! Another free brush set here. To be honest, I'm not quite sure what to call this set. It's a mix of splatters and paint dabs so I thought I may as well call it both. I'll be putting up a separate post of these same brushes with some custom settings in a bit. I've put up another version here - good for adding texture and making your own background. Anyway, this is free to use as usual and enjoy!
Here is another free brush set created from a pretty dirty metal surface -- which gave some interesting textures. You can use this for adding grunge effects, dirt, rough textures or backgrounds. Just experiment with it and have fun!
Here's a couple of texture brushes I created for a personal project I was working on. I needed some metal textures so I extracted some from a clockwork photo I had (which was also added in the artwork itself). But as you will see on how I used it below, the brushes are not limited to adding only metal textures.
Ok so here is another free splatter brush pack - six high resolution Photoshop brushes you can use for your projects. This was made similarly from the previous splatter set but this time, I was able to extract 6 textures, yey!
Here's another free brush set! This brush is good for adding texture - dirt, grain, well that is where I used it on as you will see on the image below.
Made another Photoshop brush set! These brushes have some interesting textures - great for grungy or dirty effects, to name a few things you can use it for. And the first one has this nice smoky effect too. Well, I hope you like this free brush set and I'll be posting more soon. Enjoy!
Here's a splatter brush set. I just came across these textures by chance. It was a piece of paper splattered with hair dye ready to be disposed of. The effect was great so I took the paper, hung it up to dry, scanned it and then tada! Two Photoshop brushes! Now that I look at it, both brushes are kinda shaped like a heart.. Anyway, as always, I hope you like this free brush pack and enjoy!

This brush set is made from a rusty metal texture. The second brush in the set seems also good for clouds :O Well, just experiment with it and have fun!

Here is another experimental set. The texture of these brushes are from a rusty speaker panel which creates a nice grunge effect or metallic feel. It has a dotty mesh-y pattern to it which I find good for making backgrounds - especially if you play around with the size to get variation.
I would love to see how you would make use of this brush so feel free to show me your work.
My first grunge set! In this brush pack you will get high resolution grunge texture brushes. I created this set using pictures I took -- dirty walls, old tiles, moldy spots.
Anyway it was fun making these brushes. Hope you like it and enjoy!
Here's another free brush set for you guys! This is one of my favorite brushes for adding effects. The first brush is the original version - no settings applied here. As for the second one, I customized it for painting textures.
This brush has a subtle crisscross pattern like some old fabric and it adds a really nice effect. I use this for adding an old and worn look or a grungy feel to a picture. You can also try using this for painting smoke or smog. I'm pretty sure there's a lot of other things you can do with this set so I hope you find it useful.
